Plans for Chislehurst’s first famers’ market are shaping up with eight stallholders already secured for the opening and a further five in the pipeline.

The first market – to be held in the car park between Mountain View and Davina Boutique on the High Street – will be on Saturday 11 June from 9.30am. The market will then continue on the third Sunday of the month from 19 June.

The first stallholders will be:
Milltop Orchard (apple juices and cider)
McCarthy’s Country Store (breads etc)
Marsh Produce (rare breed meats)
Farmhouse Cheese Company
Whitegates Farm (fruit and vegetables)
Meopham Valley Vineyard (wines)
Meopham Farmers (preserves and jams)
Chocolate Hut

On 19 June the market will include additional stallholders:
Villager sausages
Little Cup Cakery
Roundwood Orchard (rare reared pork)
Sweet Nostalgia (fudge)

From 21 August: Whites the Fishmongers, which last month opened on Park Road, will join the farmers’ market line up.

The arrival of the market in Chislehurst follows months of negotiation by Guy Osborn, a retail property investor who owns a number of shops in the High Street, working with the Chislehurst Town Centre Management Group.
